Rothenberg...a mideaval town!

Hello, form inside the castle walls (seriously) of Rothenberg!!  We have exactly one antiquated computer here at the "Gerberhaus Hotel", no wi-fi...so I will not be able to complete my usual post...however, I must tell you that today was an adventure that you will not want to miss!!  I'm headed to Austria in the morning and hope to have good enough wi-fi there to post about my time in this quaint village (with pictures of course!)

Quickly, what you should know about this town is that it's completely surrounded by a 50 ft. wall!!  Also, they have some of the best shopping in the world, and...a night watchman fell in love with me tonight.  Do not be alarmed.  I will post pictures tomorrow...hopefully...but for tonight, live in suspense of a great tale!

Ally and I just returned home from "Hell" (a beirgarten inside the city walls). We had to come through the back gate with a key because the front door to the inn was closed!!  We felt so cool!!  Now, we're preparing for some "laundry in the sink" time, and then to bed in our cozy little room.

Signing off from the one computer of the ground floor in the Hotel Gerberhaus...these European keyboards are a trip!!  The "shift" key and the "Y" key are in the wrong spots!!  Come to think of it...almost everything is in the wrong spot on this blasted thing!!

Lunch on the terrace.

Natalie Portman...I mean little Alexi Zeluff...what a cutie, we love her.

Streets of Rothenberg.

This is real.  Someone was actually driving this awesome car through the cobblestone streets...wtf!?

These are the steps you take to "walk the wall" around the town!

Here's the wall walk. 50 feet above the town.

Horse drawn carriage, view from the top of the wall.

View of the town from the wall.  Love.

Cool red door in front of a tower of the wall...couldn't leave it out.

Atop the wall in the kings garden.

Somebody please have a baby girl so that I can put her in one of these...Scarlett? Steph? Courtney? Val?

The Museum of Medieval Torture...Shades of grey ain't got nothin' on this...

Chastity Belt...whoa...jeez...yikes.

Christian Grey...eat your heart out...

In the middle are Brad and Sheri Bennet.  These are our tour buddies.  They are so fantastic, and are here to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary!!

Baby Derrick!  He's 17 but man...can he put away a good German beer...

This guy serenaded me at the biergarden and was awesome.

I got a shot with The Night Watchman!!!

Lovely!  Best tour guide ever!

Okay...so we went to this bar called "Hell" right after the tour ended and low and behold...guess who showed up...YES!!  That's the Night Watchman in the back sitting next to me!!  You know why...because I asked him to share a glass of wine with us and he fell in love with me and said YES!!! Awesome...
