Lazy Sunday

It was Silvia's wish that the family sleep in as long as they could this morning.  I slept until seven thirty and then snuck out for my first run on Italian soil.  I quietly left the sleeping household and started down the road; Conegliano is peaceful in the morning.  I felt like a true Italian when someone stopped to ask me directions...which I had no idea how to respond to...but tried anyway.  I hope he didn't get too lost.

We had a great lazy day at the house.  Lot's of learning happened today, for the kids and myself.  I got to learn all the naughty words and they got to learn things that were more on the productive side.  Nothing super eventful, just a nice day at home with the family.  I'm missing mine a lot tonight, on Father's Day.  I feel like it's too early to be getting homesick though, so I'll push it from my mind for today and focus on tomorrow.  We'll be visiting Burano tomorrow and I'm excited to see the colored houses.  Google image search "Burano Italy" and just look at the first pictures that pop up.  I'll take the hot pink one, please!!!

Anyway, since today was a bit slow I thought I'd take you on a tour of Casa di Antiga!!  Enjoy, I am.

Peace, Love and Travel,
Reba

Follow me up the steps, from the front door, into the living quarters.

This is the living room and dinner table in the background.

The view from the dinner table into the kitchen.  Note the blackboard on the right!!

View of the table from the kitchen.  This is where the magic happens.

Hard at, work learning a little Italian, with some espresso by my side.

Sometimes we have lessons on the trampoline.  Sometimes Silvia and I lay out instead.

My girl, Laura, the reading machine!

A view of my lovely room from the doorway.

A closeup on my bed!!  I love the mosquito net.  It's pretty, girly and highly functional when I open my windows at night.

I HAVE A FIREPLACE IN MY ROOM!!! Won't ever get to use it...but I like that it's there.

The clothes I'll be wearing for the next six and a half weeks...

The place were I bathe.  Fin!
